MARJESCLOSET

I love shopping, but so often I just store my newly purchased treasures in a closet and forget about them. I guess you could call me a hoarder (in a milder since). I have lots of cloths that I no longer ware. Most are things I wore to work, but now that I am retired I no longer ware them. After sorting through everything, and donating them to good will, or giving things away, I decided to sell the new or gently used items on eBay. I also decided to clean out my cupboards/closets and sell my vintage items, antiques, shoes, house hold items, etc..etc..  One day a friend of mine suggested I sell my things on eBay. After giving it some thought I decided to try it. I retired over a year ago and had nothing to do, so I posted a few items on eBay and WAM! I sold an item!! I was so excited.... Even though, it was only a cute sundress that I never wore, I sold it for $5.00. I thought...hummm....this could be a fun way to get rid of my STUFF instead of tossing in a crowded closet. Well, it's been over a year and I think I have made a few dollars...lololo. I sell everything very low because I know people are on eBay to look for a bargain, and because my customers usually pay for postage which can run quit high for some items; especially if I am mailing outside the US. It's fun chatting with people all over the world (via email). I chatted with a man from Hong Kong who bought my Konica camera and five lenses for $450. It was very exciting because I listed it for $200. He was such a nice customer and I loved that parts of his emails were written in his language. I also sold to a few people in the UK. One gal bought my vintage purple velvet dress, which I wore a few times after my son was born 40 years ago. She owed a vintage shop and resold it. After she received the dress I received an email stating how much she really LOVED it. How exciting! Sometimes it makes me a bit nervous though, because I worry that their purchase might get lost or broken. I do not insure their purchase, but some buyers will request that I insure it and they will pay the extra charge. I always purchase a confirmation so that both the customer and I can know when and where the item was delivered. I have lots of paintings, antiques, vintage items, sporting stuff, toys, beanie babies, and so on and so on. I think we ALL have too much STUFF and would love to sell it. Well, this is my blog telling you that you can do it too. I think this has now become a hobby of mine. I had my own calling cards printed recently, and I also posted a magnet advertisement on my car so that others would see my eBay post. I add 50 bids at the 1st of each month and relist them if they don’t sell. There may be times when I don’t have anything posted because I run out of my freebee listings. But, I make up for it the beginning of each month. I have so much to list, but, unfortunately I can't post everything at once (it's either too expensive or time consuming). But, I will post everything eventually. I hope you will visit my eBay. It will not cost you anything to browse, unless you shop...lol  Follow the directions below to get on my eBay. I also hope you will join my post by writing a comment and also by following me. I value your comments! Have a Blessed Day.
